The Rocket World Project gave a hand full of students the opportunity to travel through space in a virtual way. Although it was all virtual reality, the students were able to converse with real astronauts during their virtual travel. The students gained a better sense of how space travel is and the future plans of NASA as a result of their interaction with the astronauts. Other students were able to experience a space simulation, exploring Mars, or building rockets.
